The organisers of the upcoming annual Praise and Worship Gospel Concert say safety of the crowd is their top priority.
It will be held at Thaba Moshate Hotel Casino in Burgersfort, Limpopo on November 25.
“Safety has always been our top priority,” said the Ziyaphenduka CEO, Bruce Kgapane.
The public will enjoy performances by well-known artists such as such Benjamin Dube, Dr Tumi and Winnie Mashaba. It is regarded as the greatest gospel music event on the calendar.
According to the organisers of the event, Ziyaphenduka Marketing and Events, in collaboration with the Limpopo Tourism Agency, AfriRent Fleet Management and Thaba Moshate Hotel and Casino, they have been working around the clock with local officials to plan, rehearse security and response plans for the day of the event.
Kgapane said that fans will be able to park their vehicles at the nearby shopping mall and guards will secure their vehicles during the event.
“Shuttle services will be provided to the event while VIP ticket holders will be able to park at the casino,” he said. “I am just warning those who wait until the last minute, that walala wasala. The tickets are going at an unprecedented rate and I, therefore, encourage fans to buy them as soon as possible.
“Besides getting tickets from Computicket, local fans can also get them from Mash Clothing Concepts at the Steelpoort Shopping Centre and Thaba Moshate cash desk,” said Kgapane.
For the first time, two of South Africa’s greatest gospel singers, Dube and Dr Tumi, will perform on the same stage with other gospel favourites such as Mashaba and Blondie Sexwale.
Thaba Moshate Hotel and Casino is situated in the valley of the Spekboom River at the edge of the Bushveld Complex in the Greater Tubatse Local Municipality, near the border of Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
This concert is expected to also include local gospel groups.
“I appeal to fans to grab their tickets as soon as possible because the venue can only accomodate a limited number of fans. For safety reasons, we will not sell more than the venue can accommodate,” he added.
Normal tickets will cost R200 and VIP ones R660.
